On behalf of the Hagen Family Foundation / Fondation De La Famille Hagen, Mark Hagen presented Le Nichoir with a sponsorship donation for their newly hired Summer Educator Kirstin Lachance. Kirstin Lachance is currently studying Environmental and Wildlife management at Vanier College.

Le Nichoir is committed to educating the public about wild birds and promoting ways to co-exists with them. The Summer Educator role involves developing and providing interactive learning materials and facility/aviary tours for both adults and youth at the Center. Having a student, such as Kirstin dedicated to the visitor experience will ensure that visitors will leave the Center knowing more about birds than when they arrived!

The Foundation has been a long-time supporter of Le Nichoir. The Foundation’s sponsorship in 2016 of the Feather Friendly^® Bird collision deterrent technology was a huge success. We are pleased to know that not a single bird has collided with these protected windows despite their size and proximity to trees.
