Tropimix Egg Brunch

October 27, 2015 Blog, Recipes for Birds

Who says brunch is just for us humans?

Many canary and finch enthusiasts have served hard boiled eggs to their birds for years… but we know that passerines and parrots alike love eggs & especially with moistened Tropimix Egg Food! Create a nutritious egg brunch with Tropimix Egg Food and spice it up with some fun bird approved veggies!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Tropimix Egg Food
  • ½ cup hot water
  • 1 scrambled egg (cooked thoroughly) or chopped hard boiled egg
  • 1 small chopped Cayenne pepper or sweet pepper
  • ½ cup chopped (1-inch pieces) assorted greens such as Kale, Romaine (optional)

Directions

Mix ½ cup Tropimix Egg Food with ½ cup hot water (water temperature of 110°F or 43°C). Stir so that all of the ingredients are equally moistened. Add cooked egg, stir, and then add the veggies.

Caution: Be sure to cook eggs thoroughly and to remove uneaten egg products within an hour to avoid spoiling.
